When visiting the domain, a “Not Found” error may appear. However, the absence of a standard 404 error implies that OpenAI is actively working on this project, supporting claims that it could be unveiled on May 9.

It’s unclear how the ChatGPT search engine will function, but the company is expected to leverage its expertise in natural language processing and generative AI for web searches. Results generated by GPT could be displayed directly in user searches.
